Leke Oyedotun, MD, MPAHS, FRSPH MUL 2012 Graduate

Leke Oyedotun is a GP registrar in the United Kingdom, with a background in Basic Specialist Training (BST) in Internal Medicine from Ireland.

He has a penchant for Quality improvement and Leadership in Medicine, with training from the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland and the Health Education East Midlands, UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health UK and has a Masters degree in Public Administration Health Systems from Clark University, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

Most importantly, Leke believes in living a balanced life, he plays professional rugby for Lincoln City, UK where he resides and spends time teaching medical students in hospital rotations. He is an executive member of both the Lincoln British Medical Association (BMA) and Local Medical Committe (LMC).

Whilst in MUL, Leke wore many hats. He was the founding President of the MUL Alumni, an Executive board member of the SGA (Student Government Association), Vice-Chancellor of Scientific Students Association of MUL, Vice-President of Distinguished Nigerian Physicians of Tomorrow (DNPT) Poland, President of the Nigerian Association of Lodz (NAL), Member of the International Federation of Medical Students Association (IFMSA), and Manager of the School Dormitory Gym.

Despite all that, he excelled academically garnering the Dean’s Letter of Distinction for Academic Excellence in Pre-Clinical years of study at MUL as well as 1st and 3rd prizes in Anesthesiology and Cardiology respectively at the 48th Polish and 6th English International Conference of Students and Junior Doctors 2010.

Leke believes in personalized medicine, focusing on empowering patients to take responsibility for their health.
